Eagle-eyed West Midlands Police officers spotted a stolen car from Chelmsley Wood on Sunday morning.

Smithswood, Kinghurst and Castle Bromwich officers on patrol spotted a suspicious vehicle parked in the vicinity and ran a check to find that the car had false registration plates.

Further investigations revealed the car was stolen and it has been retrieved. Further enquiries are taking place into when the vehicle was taken.

Police tweeted at 10.42pm: “#StolenVehicle This morning officers located this vehicle that had been stolen from #ChelmsleyWood”

“The vehicle was located on false registration plates – thanks to our eagle eyed officers we noticed the plates didn’t quite look right… #Result.”
