Chandigarh: The UT police crime branch apprehended three minor boys with stolen two-wheelers on Wednesday. Five stolen vehicles were recovered from them.
A 17-year-old boy was nabbed in Sector 52 while he was driving a stolen bike with a fake registration number plate. A 16-year-old boy was nabbed in Sector 17 with a stolen two-wheeler. In the third case, a juvenile was caught with a stolen scooter in Maloya. Following their interrogation, police recovered two more lifted vehicles. Cops said, “The accused used to steal vehicles for joyrides and left them after they ran out of fuel. The three minors were involved in 60 vehicle-lifting cases in Tricity.” They were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board that sent them to juvenile home.
