VASSAR ST
Cambridge Police responded to the area of Vassar Street from a reported motor vehicle crash. Upon investigation, Breanna Murphy, 29, 32 Sheffield Road in Roslindale, admitted to operating her Honda Civic which sustained damage to the front right side rendering it inoperable. Her vehicle had struck a parked Chevy Silverado and rendered it inoperable as well. Due to her admittance of operating her vehicle and performance on a Standardized field sobriety test, she was placed under arrest and charged with O.U.I. Liquor and Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

Charles Long, 58, 820 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, was arrested and charged with Trespassing. Long was observed inside a Central Square business. This business has a clear “No Trespassing” sign located on the door. Long also has an warrant out of Cambridge District Court for Possession of Class B.

MEACHAM RD
A resident of Melrose called to state that he was just in a minor vehicle crash on Meacham Road with another motorist. The two exchanged information, but after the motorist left he observed that she had hit a parked vehicle as well. Cambridge Emergency Communications left a voicemail message for the registered owner of the parked motor vehicle advising them that their vehicle was involved in a crash.

MARKET ST
Cambridge Police stopped a motor vehicle in the vicinity of Harvard and Windsor Streets for operating on a public way with registration revoked for insurance. The Cambridge resident was found to have a suspended license and he will be summoned for Operation of a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked Registration, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License, and Failing to Display a Front Plate.

James Noel, 28, 1 Brown Terrace in Malden, was placed under arrest for a warrant out of Malden District Court for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License and Leaving the Scene of Property Damage. Noel was also charged with Malicious Destruction, after he threw a cellphone at a large screen display in a store causing approximately $1,000 worth of damage to property.

Cambridge Police received a phone call from a resident of Antrim Street reporting a past vehicle part/accessory theft. Specifically, an unknown individual stole a catalytic converter from the victim’s 2006 Toyota Prius between 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 and 9 a.m. on Friday, February 10, 2022.

A Cambridge resident was summonsed for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Driver’s License, and Uninsured Motor Vehicle. They were summoned after an officer discovered that the registration on the motor vehicle was suspended for not having insurance. When a motor vehicle stop was conducted it was discovered that the operator was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.

Police Units responded to a shopping complex on First Street for a group of unwanted teens. The group had left prior to arrival of Police, but the reporting party stated that one of them had punched him in the face. The victim declined medical attention.

Cambridge Police received a phone call from an individual reporting a past hit and run with property damage in the Porter Square area. According to the reporting party/victim, the crash occurred between 8:20 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. There were no reported injuries.

CAMBRIDGE ST
Police Units were dispatched to the 1300 block of Cambridge Street for a disturbance. The reporting party said he and others were aggressively approached by a male who demanded money. The suspect was located inside of an establishment causing problems and was escorted out. It was later discovered the suspect aggressively approached the victim. The suspect did this to multiple people in the area and, in one instance, held a small black object in his hand while demanding money from an unidentified male. The New Hampshire resident was summoned for Attempting to Commit a Crime.
