A J.D. Power survey found 77.4% of smart vehicle drivers surveyed in China were reluctant to share data like individual statistics and locations with carmakers due to privacy concerns, China Daily reports. Some car manufacturers said they desensitize collected data to minimize privacy risks, while respondents pointed to insufficient notice from carmakers with 48% saying they have not received alerts asking for consent to collect information in their vehicles. Those surveyed also raised concerns about data leaks.
